Lahore: The City Getting Smart Enough in Sports & Academics

Karachi Kings who were given 139-run target by Lahore Qalandars to win the fifth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium got badly defeated by Lahore Qalandars only by 22 runs.

Karachi Kings earlier won the toss and chose to do bowling. Batting first, by which the starters of Qalandars gave a solid shot with 64 runs on board in just eight overs but they lost their grip in the 11th over at the eleventh hour. The middle order failed to perform as the team lost back to back wickets, at last finishing with a total of 138 @ 6. Last year in 2018, Lahore Qalandars beat Karachi in the ‘Super Over’ Thriller.

Both Lahore & Karachi had sizzling performances this season of PSL in 2019, However Lahore who defeated Karachi by 22 runs got eventually defeated by Islamabad while Karachi got Multan defeated. Pakistan Super League is now proved as a super-duper platform to unite the major cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta & Multan under one Umbrella since when the PSL got started in 2015.
Seems like, along with Academics, Lahore is proving its stepping stone in Sports also. Earlier, amount of Rs. 191 was awarded to the position holders of FSC Examinations in 2018 in Lahore. Furthermore, Lahore has also strongly planned to improve its educational system, that is by replacing the old rattafication learning by the new knowledge-gained learning methods and has challenged that their study curriculum would definitely stand with the International standards like Cambridge & Oxford examination syllabuses in the future.
